Course Overview
Proxima Academy provides you with flexible and convenient training options to suit your needs, including a 4-day intensive course, a 5-night program, or a fully online course, enabling participants to complete the training required to apply for a Certificate of Registration (Real Estate and Stock & Station) with NSW Fair Trading.
The Assistant Agents Course comprises of five units of competency mandated by industry regulator NSW Fair Trading for entry into the real estate profession. This course is offered as a correspondence course where you are provided Course notes and you answer the assessments tasks. Face to Face training is only by appointment and where you require additional assistance.
Once you have successfully been deemed competent in these units, you will receive a Statement of Attainment and you may then apply to NSW Fair Trading for a Certificate of Registration.

You are then required as part of your Continuing Professional Development to complete a minimum of 3 units per year over 4 years so you can obtain your class 2 licence in the real estate industry. The complete course needs to be finalised over 4 years.
In NSW, this qualification reflects the role of real estate professionals who apply knowledge of real estate practice, legal agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards and consumer preferences to conduct real estate functions. This qualification applies to people working in both residential and commercial property, including business broking, and stock and station transactions.

An introductory course covering the essential skills, knowledge, and professional standards needed to begin a career in real estate.

Covers ethical standards and professional conduct required when working in the real estate industry.

Establish marketing and comms profiles in real estate
Focuses on developing effective marketing and communication strategies for real estate services.

Prepare to work with real estate trust accounts
Provides an overview of trust account principles and compliance requirements in real estate.

On completion, you’ll receive a Statement of Attainment and can apply to NSW Fair Trading for your Assistant Agent Certificate of Registration
You’ll then complete three units per year over four years to progress to your Class 2 Real Estate Licence.
This NSW-recognised qualification applies to residential and commercial real estate, including business broking and stock and station transactions.

Agent Representative (VIC)
The VIC Course is called the Agent Representative Course - CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice.
The Course mandated by industry regulator Business Licencing Authority www.bla.vic.gov.au for entry into the real estate profession. The eighteen units are required in order to apply for a real estate certificate from the Business Licencing Authority and be eligible for employment as a Victorian agent’s representative An agent's representative is employed by or acts for a licensed estate agent, and with written authority, can perform any of the legal functions of that estate agent. For example, an agent's representative can act as a salesperson or property manager, but cannot operate an estate agency business.
